County Police Academy Grads Heading To These 18 Westchester Agencies

Some of Westchester’s Finest got a little more fine on Friday.

Eighty-six police officers graduated from the Westchester County Police Academy on Friday, and will now join 18 law enforcement agencies in the county and two in Putnam. The graduates were celebrated on Dec. 21 at a massive celebration at SUNY Purchase.

The 86 graduates come from the 146th Session of Basic Recruit School, and received their diplomas in front of a packed house from Westchester County Police Commissioner Thomas Gleason. Of the 86 graduates, 10 have been assigned to serve as Westchester County Police officers.

The graduates include and will be reporting to: 

  • Bedford: Jack DeAlto and Alexis Nery;
  • Carmel: Daniel Shea and Brian Smith;
  • Eastchester: Patrick Bryson, Dominick Debenedictis, Michael Louros, Anthony Persico and Adam Said-Worede;
  • Greenburgh: Joseph Falcone, Thomas Hagan and Nicole Nigro;
  • Harrison: Randy Bakay, Michael Basciano, Agron Biberaj, Michael DiSante, Christopher Oliva and Ami Postiglione;
  • Hastings-on-Hudson: Joseph Borelli and Robert Simmonds;
  • Kent: Alyssa-Rae DiVeglio and Michael Weltman;
  • Mamaroneck: Paul Walsh;
  • Mount Pleasant: Frank Brescia;
